The
events of the IAML USA and Canadian Chapter Meeting 2011 will feature all the drama that South Beach can offer.
The glory of times dreams past with a reception at the exquisite Villa Vizcaya, a tour of the famous tradition of
Art Deco; contrasted by an afternoon in the only place of its kind,
the endangered Florida Everglades. We will also
host an event for the children at Jungle Island.
The education program will be an exciting and informative discussion of issues facing
the international family
lawyer.
On Thursday, we will focus on the money - who has it and who doesn't; where
is it and how to protect it - and the vagaries of representing the high profile
client.
On Friday, we will focus on the social issues; The Hague, domestic
violence, forced marriage and continue our discussion of the impact of religion
on civil divorce.
On Saturday
we will finish up with jurisdictional issues, comity, domicile and recognition.
