I am sure that all Fellows who were present at the IAML's annual meeting in Queenstown, New Zealand in early September will have some wonderful memories of stunning scenery, unforgettable experiences, true cameradierie and a genuinely valuable and enlightening educational programme. I am delighted to report that the meeting was an unmitigated success!
I am now writing to let you know that I have set up a Past Meeting page for the Queenstown meeting. From that page, Fellows have access to all educational programme papers from the meeting as well as some that were not included in the meeting handbook or on the USB drives given to Fellows at the meeting. This includes Dame Silvia Cartwright's speech describing her experiences as a judge at the Cambodian war crimes tribunals. This makes extraordinary, if chilling, reading and raises some very interesting issues.
To access the Past Meeting page, you will need to login to the IAML website (www.iaml.org) using your username and password. If you don't know or have forgotten your username or password then click on "Forgotten Password" in the Member Login box in the left-hand column of the screen and a reminder will be e-mailed to you. Once logged in, click on "Past Meetings" in the Member Options box in the left-hand column of the screen and select the Queenstown meeting.
I have also included some pictures from the meeting on these pages. If you have any more photos that you would like to share with the Fellows, please send them to me and I will be happy to post them on the site.
For those who were unable to join us, or for those who, like me, are planning to visit New Zealand again, I have also included Anita Chan's very helpful thoughts on things to see and do in New Zealand.
With best wishes, Donna
