Dear IAML Fellow
I am glad to say that the numbers for Crete are looking very good.
I understand from my agents that the less expensive of the two hotels, the Elounda Bay Palace (which is also the hotel where the education programme will take place), only has 8 rooms left as this is the 'secondary' hotel. There are still a reasonable number of rooms available in the Elounda Beach Hotel which is the main conference hotel where registration will be and where most of the social activities will take place. You will need to book your room now if you want to be in the Elounda Bay Palace hotel.
I also understand that one of the connecting flights from Athens to Heraklion on Wednesday 18th April is now almost sold out and I would advise you to arrange for your travel at the earliest opportunity. It appears that Crete is very popular even during this relatively low season just after Greek Easter.
We will be looking to organise transport from Heraklion airport to the hotel (approximately one hour) for one or two of the more popular flights.
For those of you intending to come out early, and I gather many of you are, bear in mind that it is Greek Easter the weekend before and very busy.
I look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to Crete!
With best regards
Yours sincerely
