Dear Fellow,
It is my pleasure to invite you to the IAML European Chapter Meeting, which will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, from 6th - 10th May 2009.
Discover a city built on islands, where you are never far from the water. Each island has its own atmosphere. In Stockholm you see well-preserved medieval buildings stand alongside modern architecture. Thanks to the city´s compact size, you can see and do most things in a short space of time.
There are many reasons to visit Stockholm. Most visitors come for the beauty of the city on water, the world famous sights and museums such as the Vasa museum. People also enjoy the good scandinavian food, the trendy clothes designers and the music. There are many art galleries and shopping venues, both within the city and in the suburbs. And of course, every year the Nobel Prizes are awarded here in Stockholm.
Stockholm is one third water, one third green belt and one third city. The island of Djurgården, the world´s first National City Park, is only a short walk from the pulse of the inner city. Stockholmers and visitors alike come here to relax in the leafy shade and rest their eyes on green.
It is my pleasure to offer you a sample of things and activities to be enjoyed and experienced during your visit here.
Welcome to Stockholm - The Capital of Scandinavia
