About the Journal
The Journal of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers is an on-line law review and digest that endeavors to publish timely articles on family law and related topics, that have not previously been published elsewhere (see disclaimer below). The Journal is the brainchild of Charles C. Shainberg of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a Past President of the Academy, and has been in development for over three years. Without the unwavering support and encouragement of Charlie Shainberg, our Past IAML President Jacqueline Leong of Hong Kong and current President, Donald J. Sasser of West Palm Beach, Florida, the Journal would never have become a reality. The Editorial Board would like to formally thank each of them for that support.
In this year of 2006 the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers is celebrating its 20th anniversary. It is with great excitement and pride that the members of the Academy and the Editorial Board launch our law Journal, and we do so in honor of our 20th anniversary.
